Jason Smeltzer, Thereminist, provides a learning experience that brings music, art, history, technology and science all in one for the Art classes at Susquehanna. (courtesy Art Club fundraisers)

The Theremin is the only instrument you do not touch, and it is the first musical instrument to use electricity. Jason Smeltzer resides in the Scranton area and is well known for his skills with “When I Float Backwards” music duo with Steve Kurilla….they are usually found at the Afa Gallery/Ted Michalowski’s Drawing Socials.

The Students, needless to say, HAD A BLAST and were completely ENGAGED in this new experience!

(even Mrs. Matis had to try it!)
